Stonewards Items Hub Guide

Items in Stonewards bridge procedural mines and surface survival. Ore nodes feed forges and crafting camps; weapons and gear define how you clear waves; rings and relics bend long-term stats when the blacksmith offers limited choices. Understanding item categories prevents the classic failure mode: hauling the wrong materials back, crafting luxury gear, and entering the next horn without arrows or wall stone.

What Item Pages Cover

Banana Tiger Studio treats loot as run fuel, not collection fodder. You mine metals and stone, deposit them at stations, trade surplus gear at recycling camps, and open chests for team-wide buffs. This hub splits items by function so you know what to prioritize before depth, not after a wipe.

Items Index

  • Ores and Materials — Cave nodes, stone for wall repair, rare metals for upgrades, and haul timing.
  • Weapons and Gear — Class starting loadouts, ranged versus melee roles, and when to recycle old gear.
  • Rings and Relics — Blacksmith ring choices, relic synergies, and the four-offer limit per forge visit.
  • Camps and Stations — Blacksmith forge, recycling camp, crafting camp arrows, chest opener, wall repair stone, and campfire revive with spend priorities.

How Items Connect to Builds and Guides

Items supply the ore that Builds pages tell you how to spend. Forge Upgrades assumes you know which materials unlock repairs versus power rolls. Ammo and Crafting explains crafting camp outputs that weapons consume during Wave Defense.

On the knowledge side, How to Mine Fast teaches routing; item pages teach what to pick up along the route. Resource Priority Checklist combines both into a pre-forge checklist.

Hub Items vs Run Loot

Between runs, the hub shop and mission rewards offer persistent unlocks—characters, gear templates, and meta progression. Inside a mission, most ore and crafted consumables exist only for that attempt until the King dies or you extract. New players sometimes confuse the two economies and hoard run ore for hub purchases that do not exist.

Read How to Use the Hub once you repeat missions for unlocks. Item pages here focus on in-run loot loops.

Solo vs Co-op Loot Roles

Solo players need one inventory plan that covers mining, crafting, and combat gear. Co-op teams can split haul priorities: miners stack ore and stone while defenders maintain weapon tiers and support rings that buff the group. How to Co-op in Stonewards complements these item rules with callouts.

Map pages describe where cave branches spawn relative to bastion exits—useful when planning ore routes. Combat explains which weapons handle which monster behaviors. Controls covers inventory and interact bindings that make looting faster.

  1. Ores and Materials before your third run.
  2. Weapons and Gear when class choice matters.
  3. Rings and Relics once the blacksmith appears in your missions.
  4. Camps and Stations for full bastion station order and ore priority.
  5. Builds hub to translate loot into forge plans.

Staying Current

Stonewards Early Access begins August 11, 2026 with promises of expanded resources, treasures, and gear. Item names, drop rates, and station recipes may change in demo patches. Use this hub for category logic—ore feeds forge, stone feeds walls, rings stack run identity—not frozen drop tables.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Stonewards questions.

What is the most important item category early?

Ores and stone for ammo plus wall repair. See [Ores and Materials](/items/ores-and-materials/) before chasing rare relics.

How many ring choices does the blacksmith offer?

Demo feedback references four ring options per relevant forge visit. Details and synergies are in [Rings and Relics](/items/rings-and-relics/).

Can I recycle unwanted gear?

Yes. Recycling camps return a portion of resources from equipment you no longer need—covered in [Weapons and Gear](/items/weapons-and-gear/).

Do items persist after the King dies?

Most in-run ore, crafted ammo, and forge gear reset on run failure. Hub shop unlocks persist—see [How to Use the Hub](/guides/how-to-use-hub/).

Where do chest rewards fit?

Chests opened at the bastion can grant shared buffs or items. [Rings and Relics](/items/rings-and-relics/) explains how those rewards stack with forge upgrades.
